A quick run out to the woods...

We planned and received a
last minute
trip to the woods.

I cannot believe,
I cannot imagine
what could be better than such a wonderful
smoky night.

We went
just the two of us.
We made dinner in the dark.
We forgot coleman.

No rain.
Waves crashing.
New tent.
Love.
Sleep.

I went for a two hour walk.
I get afraid
alone in the woods.
If I sing
I am not alone.

Why are my boys
so beautiful
when I return?
